Biography

The story of Stuck Mojo began in Atlanta in 1989 with guitarist Rich Ward, the founding pillar of the band. Stuck Mojo is quickly spotted in his region thanks to his hybrid music mixing many genres, inspired by bands like Run DMC (for the flow rapped by Bonz, singer of the band), Black Sabbath, or Les Red Hot Chili Peppers. Stuck Mojo released his first real album Snappin & Necks in 1995, and followed a three-month tour where he showed that he didn't only have studio talent since he was quickly considered an extremely communicative live energy band. In 1996, the arrivals of a new drummer and bass player will precipitate the release of Pigwalk, produced by the famous Devin Townsend (Strapping Young Lad). A special EP dedicated to Europe, intended to announce the band's tour of the old continent, also released this year, under the title Violated . For the anecdote, since the first album, the band has held 250 concerts and two tours in Europe. In spite of this, the group remains quite unknown to the general public, and it takes the release of the third opus Rising in 1998, so that Stuck Mojo finally emerges from the shadow (with 3 million copies). Following the success of this album, the band has the opportunity to participate in some rather impressive European festivals. This tour culminates in a live HYV1 album released in 1999. The 2000s will be quite harmful to the group; The long starts on tour, the different drug shots, and the frictions between the members are right of Stuck Mojo who releases despite everything Declaration Of A Headhunter, opus Neo Metal entirely written by Ward, which divides fans as members of the band, which results in the cancellation of the world tour, and precipitates the split of Stuck Mojo. Yet in 2001, still under the initiative of Rich Ward, the band released Violate This , album covers and B-sides. Bonz does not participate in this album. Three years go by, fans simmer and at their request, Rich Ward concocts with Ed Aborn an archive DVD of all kinds. It is not until 2007 that Stuck Mojo emerges from his den with Lord Nelson, the band's new rapper. The album is called Southern Born Killers and keeps the combo harp while developing the neo side of the previous opus studio. The band in its desire to stay away from the big circuits broadcasts its album entirely via its website and myspace. A follow-up was given to him in 2008 with The Great Revival, which was released at Napalm Records and then dissolved again. On 26 December 2014, Stuck Mojo made a meeting show with Bonz, Ward, Lowery and Fontsere, who shared the stage together for the first time since 1998. A few concerts take place under this line-up, but Ward and Fontsere indicate that the band will not continue with this arrangement for very long. In fact, Len Sonnier (Basse) and Robby J. (Chant) were recruited in 2016 for the release of a new album, Here Come The Infidels .
