Subskin trained in Lille during 2004 at the initiative of guitarist Pierre and singer Daphnee. With the arrival of a new drummer, Wladys, they begin to compose more punchy songs. At the end of that same year, they were joined by Adrien who took the bass. Inspired by artists as diverse and talented as Archive , Radiohead , Muse , Queen , Rage Against The Machine or even Pantera , the young quartet (average age 21) offers a rock music traversed by the energetic voice of Daphnee, whose models include Chino Moreno and Beth Gibbons de Portishead . Totally self-taught, they were founded around their singer's sensitive texts, highlighted by melodic arrangements. The name of the group itself comes from the idea of feelings hidden under the skin asking only to come to light. After about 30 concerts, the band recorded and self-produced a promising first demo, Echoes Of A Chimerical World. Definitely talented, they claim to have a unique musical personality that only needs to flourish yet, which will soon be the result of new, more aggressive compositions that have already emerged.
