Suicide Silence
Biography
Suicide Silence formed in 2002 in Riverside, California as a parallel project for members of local groups. The American combo began with Chris Garza and Rick Ash in the guitarist positions, Mike Bodkins as bassist, Josh Goddard behind the drums and two singers, Mitch Luckyr and Tanner Womack. He was quickly fired after the first concert, and Suicide Silence recorded three demos during 2002-2003, which were still confined to the Metal scene in the area. The band will really start its career on stage in 2004 by stabilizing its compositions inspired by Deathcore and Grindcore. A first eponymous record was recorded in 2005 at Thrid Degree Records for the United Kingdom and SOS Records for the United States. Suicide Silence then begins to make talk about them outside their borders and this thanks to a Deathcore more brutal than average, sometimes recalling Death-Metal groups such as Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation or Necrophagist. Two years later, after Mark Heylmun and Alex Lopez replaced Rick Ash and Josh Goddard respectively, the band's fame exploded after signing with Century Media Records, which released their first album, The Cleashing . The 2008 tour with Parkway Drive , Bury Your Dead , A Day To Remember and The Acacia Strain allows them to attract new fans on the roads and becomes one of the most popular bands in Deathcore. Daniel Kenny replaces Mike Bodkins on bass, then the Americans take Engine No. 9 of Deftones which will be recorded on their second ep, Green Monster. No Time To Bleed is the second album by Deathcore, still published by Century Media Records in 2009, which once again features Billboard. Shawn Crahan of Slipknot even decides to make a Wake Up remix which will appear in digital format the same year. A third effort that initiates a change in the band's musical style was released in 2011 entitled The Black Crown . It was on November 1, 2012 that Mitch Lucker died as a result of a motorcycle accident. The past pain, Suicide Silence confirms that the band wishes to continue the adventure, a new singer, Hernan "Eddie" Hermida of the All Shall Perish band passes behind the microphone. In 2014 the new American opus comes out in the bins, this one is entitled You Can的t Stop Me and marks a return to a brutal Deathcore for the great pleasure of fans. Suicide Silence then embarks on a world tour with appearances in the most prestigious festivals. It can be said that Mitch Luckyr's sudden and painful disappearance was well managed by the formation. In 2017 Suicide Silence returns with an eponymous album that changes the deal, Americans radically change their style and move towards an alternative music.
