Sunnudagr

The project starts in 2013, following the death of a close friend of Cyril ( Solventis , ex- Opprobre ) under the
form of a self-produced one-man band with the help of Clement ( Opprobre , Solventis , Antropofago ) which
composes the battery. Inspired by various Black Metal Scandinavian bands such as Kampfar, Dark Funeral,
Emperor , Dissection , Tsjuder and others Carpathian Forest , Sunnudagr forges little by little his visceral style
and incisive. Cyril saw this introspective project as an outlet to express himself
free on his mourning in the first EP entitled Follow the Light (2013), then on such topics as
that the ecology and the planetary disasters caused by man in the bitter EP Nature (2015).
In 2018, the project became a full-fledged group with the arrival of Antoine and Clément at the
guitars. They decided to work together on their first album "Le Silence" which
addresses topics such as depression, self-absorbing, anxiety, mourning and acceptance of
loss of a loved one, on a background of riffs ranging from an atmospheric style with flights of guitars
leads inspired by the Post-Black Metal movement, with Thrash/Punk/Death old-school sounds.
