Weary of their respective punk rock band, Ray Harkins (chant) and Chad Tafola (guitar) formed the band during the summer '97 when they were 16 and 17 years old respectively. In October '98, the quintet recorded its first demo in San Diego, California. Not satisfied with the results, they returned to lock up 9 months later to split up with a 7" The Haven/Crayons which will allow them to approach the labels, especially Goodfellow Records which will become their first real home. The EP Finding Solace in Dissension (July 2000) is the result of the label's offer, and it allows the young band to make its first big North American tour. The following year, it was their first full album And They Slept that came out and made them more known to the public. In October '01 and then May '02, the band saw its drummer and second guitarist set off. By the time the band consolidated again and turned around a little more, two years had passed and it was in the spring of 2004 that the decision was taken unanimously to separate. Nevertheless one last EP was recorded for Goodfellow, Between Two Unseens released in July '04.
