Taking Back Sunday
Biography
Taking Back Sunday formed on Long Island in 1999 with Antonio Longo, Jesse Lacey (future Brand New), John Nolan (future Straylight Run), Eddie Reyes and Steven DeJoseph. The band's first release is a simple EP, Taking Back Sunday EP, which sees the departures of the singer and drummer, replaced by Adam Lazzara and Mark O'Connel. The Ep did not meet a huge success, but the band did not let go and released a first album Tell All Your Friends at Victory in early 2002.
Other changes in lin-up have affected the band's life, almost causing its loss (starting with guitarist John Nolan and bassist Shaun Cooper). Yet, Taking Back Sunday takes over with a new guitarist (Fred Mascherino) and a new bass player (Matt Rubano).
The second album, Where You Want To Be , was released in 2004, while the band toured with Blink-182 , and rose to 3rd place on the US Billboard. Taking Back Sunday takes advantage of its growing success to contribute to the BOFs of Spider Man2, Elektra and Fantastic 4 . In 2006, Louder Now , third American album, arrived in the bins, supported by the single "Whats It Feel Like To Be A Ghost?". The same year, a CD/DVD combo Louder Now: PartOne , composed of lives, was delivered by the band, followed by an album by B-Sides Notes From The Past , and Louder Now: PartTwo at the end of 2007 ( rare music and lives).
A line-up change occurred again in October 2007. Fred Mascherino left the band to devote himself to his solo career while Taking Back Sunday worked on his next album, New Again , which was released in June 2008. Current 2010, the combo announces the return of some former members, for a return to the line-up of 2002. Soon, the recording of a new record is announced, soberly announced Taking Back Sunday, which arrives in June 2011. This one is promoted through a few singles / clips, also allowing Taking Back Sunday to embark on a tour celebrating the band's 10th anniversary. The recording of their sixth album was announced via Twitter in June 2013, announced on Hopeless Records with the maintenance of the original line-up. Happiness Is released in March 2014, containing 11 tracks of Pop Rock recorded in the continuity of previous opus.
