Team Sleep

Team Sleep is formed under the impetus of Chino Moreno (Deftones ) during the period before the release of White Pony in 1999. To explore less heavy and more ambient worlds, he will surround himself with his childhood friends Todd Wilkinson (guitar) and Dj Crook. Zack Hill ( Hella) is also the drummer, as well as Rick Verret (Tinfed) at bass. It is then the beginning of a long gestation for the band, which will continue to delay the release of its first album while distilled tracks to the dropper. Thus Teenager will accidentally land on White Pony, or The Passport on Matrix Reloaded's BO in 2003. But playing too much with the patience of the fans, an unmastered version of the album will eventually spread on the web at the end of 2002. Disappointed by this premature arrival, Moreno prefers to devote himself to the release of a new album from his main band. Meanwhile, the other members will create new songs under the auspices of Terry Date ( Pantera , Deftones ) and Ross Robinson ( At The Drive-In , Glassjaw , Slipknot ...), before being joined by the singer a few months later. Once the schedules combined harmoniously with those of Deftones, the new fall finally: Team Sleep is released on May 10, 2005.
