Biography
Created in 1984 under the name Red Tet the Redheads give in their youth bonus in the punk way The Clash . In 1987 the band mutated, thanks to its music which lost its electric side for accordion and also at the level of the name, the band became Les Têtes Rides and the line up fabric. In 1989 with the album Not dead but very steep the band gradually became known, musically apart from in the French landscape the word of mouth made its effect. Eat your dead, their second album, appeared in 1990, the band now has 6 members and the notoriety also increases. Artist from A to Z the group surrounds with a childhood imagery (thanks to the work of the collective Chats Pelés). As the album releases (The Birds in 1992, Flower of the Eyes in 1993 with a seventh member) the band gradually changes its style, more festive, more fanfare, the live performances reputedly adorned by trapezist, actors, ... Le Bout du Roof appears in 1996, there is Jean Corti who previously worked with Jacques Brel . In 1997 they released their first live album: Come. 1998 sees the arrival of Chamboultou, their 7th production is born, more engaged it marks a political turning point for the group. In 2000 and after 10 years the band released its first best of : Ten years of stiffheads then Gratte-Poil, the band then toured the festivals and played before impressive audiences. The group will be next to Black Désir and Yann Tiersen to react to the presence of the extreme right in the second round of presidential elections. It will take until 2003 to review a new album: What the fuck are we doing? The increasingly committed troupe in recent years has launched the Social Notice petition (against reactionary reforms) and are joined by many artists. The group organises evening debates and gives the floor to associations defending immigrants or combating AIDS. In 2005 they returned with a more rock album: Fragile .
