Biography

Christopher Crisci : Song/Guitare Aaron Pillar : Guitar/Chant Marc Young : Bass Aaron Cocker : Battery
Formed in '97 by Crisci, Pillar, Wickersheim (bass) and Ruiz (battery), the first name of the band is December's Tragic Drive, with reference to the texts of "Seven" (Sunny Day Real Estate - Diary). It was only the following year that the band chose The Appleseed Cast to sign the same year on Deep Elm Records (Latterman, Surrounded, ...) that released the first effort of the combo from Lawrence (Kansas): The End Of The Ring Wars. The year 1999 saw the departure of Ruiz, replaced by Baruth, and the recording of their second opus, often the most appreciated by fans, but also the one that marks the beginning of their collaboration for 4 years with Ed Rose ( Brandtson , The Get Up Kids , ...) : Mare Vitalis .
Unfortunately, tensions developed between Wickersheim and the rest of the musicians, and he left the band in 2000, replacing Pillar's roommate Marc Young. With this new line-up, and knowing that the band has a 5 album contract with its label, TAC embarks on the most ambitious project of its career with the recording of a double album, Low Level Owl, whose first volume was released on August 21, 2001, and the second on October 23, Deep Elm going so far as to create a new logo simply to mark the hit. The following year (2002), Crisci and Cie released a collection of titles composed after the release of their first effort and which they finished in 2002: Lost Songs; a release that marked the end of their deal with Deep Elm. During this time, TAC will participate in a CD split with Race Car Riot and Planes Mistaken For Stars, and triplette Crisci/Pillar/Rose is trying a new musical project called Hundred Hands.
New signature in 2003 with Tiger Style Records and Jordan Geiger's official keyboard integration. The quintet attacks the writing and composition of Two Conversations which also has its share of tensions, this time with Baruth who finally leaves the group. The latter then placed in hiatus, Crisci devoted himself to his side-project, Old Canes, Geiger joining his former formation: Minus Story. At the same time, their label finds itself confronted with financial difficulties which obliges it to relax from the whole of its roster.
Then, in 2004/2005, rumours of hearing for a new drummer sounded, including that of Aaron Cocker, former drummer of Old Canes, who would nevertheless be preceded by Nathan Richardson (The Masket Lottery ) before appearing on the line-up of The Appleseed Cast in 2006. He will therefore not participate in the recording sessions of the sixth effort of the group, Peregrine , published by The Militia Group ( Denison Witmer ,...), and of which Crisci says: "...I don't know if I've felt better about a record this early since Mare Vitalis".
