Band of four kids from Swansea (UK) originally, they formed their first Silicone Fish band in college around skateboards, punk rock sound from the 90s and 15W amps, then in 2005 chose the name The Arteries. First opening concert of Big D & The Kids Table in their home town the same year, then first recording 'room' during the summer. The EP Brought up Not Dragged up will be released. Several months to play a pair of concerts there and there around high school, and arrives '06 with a new recording 4 tracks, as well as a second guitarist in the person of Tim Davies.
The larons then get along with the punk bands of their city and region, including The Cut Ups , The Computers and The Groundnuts and Independents with whom they will share a split EP 4 tracks in July '07. In the fall, Rhys Jenks temporarily left the group for Bristol University, making the sessions more difficult. Nevertheless, more than one split 7" dexu titles with Global Parasite (December '07), they plan a series of three 10" respectively entitled Blood , Sweat , and Beers (in reference to Winston Churchill's famous speech) whose releases will run from late '07 to autumn '08, still in self-production.
The band then makes more and more talk about him, to the point of drawing the attention of Lily and Kafren at Household Name Records, and opening for Strung Out on a few dates. From this experience, they will say that they have not learned much but to observe the capricious behaviors of rock stars... They then multiply the concerts in the small rooms and apartments or in the first part of Buncing Souls, Smoke or Fire and Fake Problems, come to visit us in France, and give their agreement that HHN release a CD version of their three 10" under the title Blood, Sweat & Tears. This will be done for Christmas '08. Still active, they begin to compose new titles while studying in college for the most part, and record from new to summer '09. The few tracks are spread over a 7" series (a split with The Cut Ups, a single for the Art of the Underground project and a 4-way split with Bangers, Brothers and OK Pilot). In September they toured France with Nina'School and then in the rest of Europe, before flying to The Fest eighth of the name in Gainesville, Florida.
The following months are devoted to studies and spring exams, with qelques repéts and writing sessions to relax. All this will lead to the recording of a second opus at the end of June 2010: Dead Sea. He was promoted as he should in the fall by a tour with Bangers (including France), before his release in early October. A few weeks later, they took part for the second time in the Fest, on the ninth edition of the famous Gainesville Festival, Florida.
