Biography

The Ascent of Everest formed in the spring of 2005 in Nashville (Tennessee, USA) around an orchestral byte ( Ashley, Casey, Chris, Devin, Dillon, Drew, Jeff, and Corey) composed of guitars, drums, bass and cello. In 2006 they released a first album How Lonely Sits the City , strongly inspired by Godspeed You Black Emperor and Evpatoria Report also going to borrow sounds very close to Yndi Halda (nothing surprising when you know that their music is influenced among others by Constellations Records bands ); it will be republished two years later under the label Shelsmusic . In 2009 released a split with another post-rock band We All Inherit The Moon, still in line with their first effort. In 2010, The Ascent of Everest came back with a new album, alongside the beginnings but evolving in a more aerated, atmospheric, less classical and progressive universe, From This Vantage was a success and the band toured to make it live on stage.
