
The Black Angels
Biography
Formed in 2004 in Texas, the band takes its name from The Black Angel's Death Song by The Velvet Underground released on the album Velvet Underground with Nico. A year after their formation The Black Angels released a first EP hailed by critics. As one might expect the band is strongly influenced by the 70's, The Doors, The Velvet Underground or more recently The Warlocks and Black Mountain. Two years after the release of their first album and after having travelled many stages, including a concert noticed at the South by Southwest Music Conference 2006 the band released in 2007 a first album entitled Passover . Productive the texans come back a year later with Directions to See a Ghost.
