The Blood Brothers

Country: United Kingdom
Formed: 1960
Styles: Post-Hardcore Post-Punk

Biography

It was in 1997, in a small town in Seattle, that The Blood Brothers formed. The band then included Jordan Blilie (Chant), Johnny Whitney (Chant/Clavier), Morgan Henderson (Basse/Clavier), Cody Votolato (Guitare) and Mark Gajadhar (Battery).
Distilling a fast and rabid hardcore, The Blood Brothers quickly distinguished themselves from other groups on the stage, thanks in particular to the special and complementary voice stamps of both frontmen. The quintet released its first opus This Adultery Is Ripe in 2000, produced by the famous Ross Robinson (GlassJaw , ATDI , Team Sleep , ...) which they will find in 2003 for their third opus Burn Piano Island, Burn , first "great" success, after having released March On Electric Children in 2002. In 2004 Crimes came out, an effort more experimental and intimate than the previous ones, produced by John Goodmanson. That same year, Johnny and Mark formed an indie/experimental side-project named Neon Blonde. In 2006, the band entered the studio again with Goodmanson to record their fifth album Young Machetes, which also saw the participation of Guy Piciotto, guitarist of the legendary post-punk band Fugazi.
