The Bloodhound Gang
Biography
The BloodHound Gang, it's kind of the crazy group from high school. Scatos, shams, fans of potache jokes,... Those we invite to a party to put the atmosphere.
Bang Chamber 8 . It is under this name that The Bloodhound Gang is formed with Jimmy Pop and Daddy Long Legs (future Wolfpac). A first tape began to circulate just before the duo renamed itself The Bloodhound Gang in reference to the 1981 TV show in which three young detectives solved puzzles while fighting crime. Unable to find any concert, the band performed in the home of Evil Jared Hasselhoff in exchange for cigarettes, practicing a fusion oscillating between rap, punk and rock, all focused on a second third degree view at the level of lyrics. The first real demo, Just Another Demo , starts running as the combo starts playing at the New York CBGB. April 1994 saw the release of The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to Hitler's Handicapped Helpers, a second demo that opened the doors of Cheese Factory Records. That same year, a song was used for The Chick That Was Naked and a first EP, Dingleberry Haze , revealed The Bloodhound Gang to the general public. Unfortunately, success did not come immediately, but Columbia identified the musicians and had them sign a contract from which the first album Use Your Fingers came. A tour followed as well as the departure of Daddy Long Legs and M.S.G. (parts formed Wolfpac), replaced by Evil Jared Hasselhoff (Basse) and Tard-E-Tard (Samples). At the end of the concert series, the label abandons The Bloodhound Gang and Skip O'Pot2Mus (Battery) and Tard-E-Tard to focus on their extra-musical professional careers.
Not disillusioned, however, the remaining members joined Cheese Factory Records for the second offence, One Fierce Beer Coaster (reissued in 1998 by Geffen Records). This allows them to start on a Europeene tour while songs are used for the Kin film. The success came gradually, with the single Fire Water Burn ranking fourth in the Dutch charts. It takes four years for Hooray For Bobbies to allow The Bloodhound Gang to talk about him again. Weared by the single The Bad Touch (if so, the one where they dress up as a monkey in Paris), the band recovers on a tour in Europe, selling 5 million albums at the same time. Discreet until 2005, when Hefty Fine was born, The Bloodhound Gang landed with a big blow of provocative cover, staggered lyrics (Pennsylvania in which the combo wished to change the anthem of the state) and passages in the show Viva La Bam . Despite this, Lupus Thunder (Guitare) left the adventure in 2008, replacing Daniel P. Carter. After a best-of and a teased single in 2014, the combo returns with a new line-up in 2015 for Hard-Off.
The Bloodhound Gang is subject to various polemics about his writings and actions. For example, Yellow Fever is censored because of her talk about Asian women while there are rumours of golden showers or ingestion of vomit.
