Biography

The Claypool Lennon Delirium , as its name suggests, is a side-project of psychedelic rock where we find the legendary Les Claypool, frontman and principal composer of Primus , accompanied by the no less enigmatic Sean Lennon , famous son of , known for playing in Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger and for some solo albums. It was on a tour of Primus and Dinosaur Jr where the son Lennon opened with Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger, and after some friendly backstage jams that Admiral Claypool invited little Lennon to come and play on Southbound Pachyderm; more than convinced of the subversive character of the (not so young than that) guitarist, and having little on his agenda for 2016, he thinks that a side-project with this inspired hurluberlu would be more than refreshing. And hop, a new project for Claypool, and hop, a new album very nice for summer 2016, entitled The Claypool Lennon Delirium's Monolith Of Phobos, where of course Claypool will play bass and apose his electric duck voice (it looks like it's not negative at all) while Sean Lennon will sing, play guitar, write the drums and mellotron parts (yes, all that). The band will make some dates in the United States, while the album will be very well received by critics. Between psychedelic pop, progressive rock and cosmic delusions, the album is very surprising and hopefully the beginning of a fruitful collaboration.
