The Craftmen Club
Biography
Originally from Guingamp in Brittany, The Craftmen Club is founded by Steeve Lannuzel (Chant / Guitar), Yann Ollivier (Battery / Chorus) and Marc Corlett (Basse / Chorus). Their first ep, Prototype Rock'n'Roll, was released in 2001 before doubling their work with Jesus Is A Hit-And-Run Driver Man the following year. We discover a rock band inspired by Blues and Folk but mainly with a communicative energy that is all the more evident during the live performances of Bretons. The Craftmen Club also performed at the Old Charrues and Transmusicales in their early days. In 2004, their meeting with Jon Spencer changed the deal and allowed them to record their first album I Gave You Orders Never To Play That Record Again , at the Baloon Farm studio in Rennes that will be released in the following year. There are about 50 dates all over France to defend their new album. However, in 2006, The Craftmen Club decided to stop the concerts for a while and devote itself to their second album. Focused on the story of the Western character, Gary Blood, the band expanded its influences and recorded in part in Waimes, Belgium, as well as in their studio in Pontrieux. This is how Thirty Six Minutes came into being at the beginning of 2009. Four years later, The Craftmen Club returned with Eternal Life, which appeared at French Wine Records.
