Biography

DALI, formerly The Dali Thundering Concept (TDTC) is a progressive metal band from Paris, formed in 2010. Their music merges the brutality of deathcore with atmospheric elements from djent and progressive metalcore, creating both a technical and emotionally intense sound. Current members Sylvain Connier – singing Léo Natale – guitar Steve Tréguier – bass (also a member of Kadinja) Martin Gronnier – drums Discography The group became known in 2012 with the When X Met Y Conceptual EP, exploring the evolution of art through an innovative sound approach. In 2014, they released their first Eyes Wide Opium album, which allowed them to position themselves among the references of modern French metal. Their reputation grew in 2015 thanks to European tours and participations in festivals such as UK Tech Fest and Euroblast, sharing the stage with renowned groups such as Animal as Leaders, Between the Buried and Me, and Tesseract. In 2018, DALI released Savages , a dystopic conceptual album addressing themes such as global warming and the rise of populism, illustrating a dark future for humanity if radical changes are not undertaken. Their latest album, All Mighty Men , released in 2022, marks a stylistic evolution by integrating nu-metal elements and focusing on narrative, while maintaining their aggressive and technical sound signature. DALI musical style is distinguished by its ability to mix heavy and technical riffs with progressive atmospheres and electronic keys. Their music is often described as a fusion between the brutality of deathcore and the complexity of the djent, enhanced by jazz and electronic influences, thus providing a unique and immersive sound experience.
