Biography

The Dear Hunter is at the base the solo project of Casey Crescenzo, singer / guitarist / claverist of The Receiving End Of Sirens from 2004 to 2006. The first ideas came to him in 2004 as he started with TREOS . In 2005 a collection of demos entitled Dear Ms. Leading was distributed freely (in particular via the Internet) without being published by a label. As the personal and musical differences between the frontman and the rest of the band increased, he also recruited a few members for The Dear Hunter who made their first stage appearance on February 03, 2006 in their Boston hometown. In mid-May, Crescenzo left TREOS and devoted himself fully to his new project, which began with Triple Crown Records. After a tour with As Tall As Lions , Cassino (side project by Nick Torres and Tyler Odom of Northstar ) and The Secret Handshake , the first EP of combo, Act I: The Lake South, The River North , was released on 26 September. With the following two papers, Act I , II and III, form a trilogy of concept-albums with very different influences, based on a story imagined by the frontman. After that, the format of the EP is privileged by the formation and its The Color Spectrum, bringing together nine mini-albums, each named from a color. Once again, The Dear Hunter's creativity is revealed by her music, but also by her organization in very precise formats. Finally, in 2013, the band released a new album, Migrant Reprise , this time released by Rude Records.
Casey Crescenzo, Erick Serna, Luke H. Dent and Sam Dent
