The Death Of Anna Karina
Biography
The Death of Anna Karina was originally born in the bowels of Inedia, a hardcore band founded in 1999 by Davide and Alessandro. After two years of experimentation and a change of line up, three newcomers made their appearance: Lucas on bass, Adriano on drums and Giulo on the microphone. History can then begin. Prodigating devastating chaos, inspired by Denied , Orchid or Antioch Arrow , the Italians were noticed by Heroine Records from their second live performance and recorded their first album in 2002. Deeply marked by the screening of the film Live His Life by Jean Luc Godard and his main actress Anna Karina, the quintet makes it his title and is renamed at the same time: The Death Of Anna Karina.
The following year, Rocco, who served in the band screamo La Quiete (also Italian), came to grow the band's ranks, playing alternately keyboard or guitar. The formation then appeared on a compilation of the American label Slave Union Records and then in a split with the French band The Flying Worker (2003). After scorching some European Union countries in various concerts and festivals, TDOAK saw its first Self Titled reissued and released its new effort New Liberalistic Pleasures in 2005 at Unhip Records, in a new register, with an exploratory and staggered rock, mixing flavours with Depeche Mode or Arab On Radar.
