The Dillinger Escape Plan
Biography
The Dillinger Escape Plan begins in 1997 and quickly climbs the ranks that will make them a cult formation; mix of metal, hardcore, free jazz (and almost everything that can pass them by), the band has been exploring for years an extreme but incredibly technical music. TDEP accumulates the first various group parts such as Pantera, System Of A Down, Cave In, Mr Bungle, Slayer ... A few line-up changes accompany the band's life, especially in the singing scene when Dimitri Minakakis left the band in 2002 to be replaced by Greg Puciato. The band, which has already released 3 albums (1997, 1998 and 1999), then released an EP in duo with Mike Patton, Irony Is A Dead Scene , giving even more visibility. Patton's presence will greatly influence quintet music. Miss Machine, fourth album, released in 2004; the group then confirms its reference status; mix of styles and madness are on the rendezvous. Ire Works , still furious but including more pop and trip hop elements, was born in 2007, followed by Option Paralysis in early 2010, shortly after integration with Season Of Mist. The Americans return in 2013 with a new (and surprising) signature at Sumerian Records, for the much anticipated One Of Us Is The Killer. An incredible band, exceptional live power; But be careful a group that doesn't let itself be approached like this, you usually need well-hung ears and patience to really enjoy The Dillinger Escape Plan. Line-up : Ben Weinman - Guitar Greg Puciato - Song Liam Wilson - Bass James Love - Guitar Billy Rymer - Battery
