The Domus
Biography
Stefan Juhlin : Chant/Guitare Erik Axelsson : Claviers Gustaf Wistrand : Guitar Johan Carlsson : Beats/Battery
The surname The Domus is above all a plough, referring to a chain of Swedish supermarkets (Domus), to which the usual 'The' was joined. A time later, the quartet realizes that 'Domus' means 'House' and that...it farts (!?) since their stickers are placarded all over the city from which they originate, Eskilstuna in Sweden. At its beginning, The Domus is supposed to be Stefan Juhlin's acoustic project, best known for being one of the founders of another side project: Jettie. The other members, who were also involved in other projects at the time, then decided to focus on The Domus, allowing them to perform some 50 concerts in 2005 alongside We Are Scientists, Karl Larsson and of course Jettie. This agreement led them to sign on the same label as the latter, Kasual Recordings ( Ariel Kill Him , Beezewax ,...), which released their first album, Fractures , on April 25, 2007 in Sweden.
