Biography
In 1997, in Santa Cruz, California, four long-time friends and passionate about surfing, skateboarding and music, decided to start a band, The Expendables. Geoff Weers (Guitare / Chant), Adam Patterson (Battery / Chant), Raul Bianchi (Guitare), and Ryan DeMars (Basse) record their first album No Time To Worry in 2001, without being signed on a label. Their music is imbued with various popular styles in the world of skateboarding and surfing such as Punk-Rock, Ska, Surf-Rock and Reggae. One could associate their music with that of Slightly Stoopid, 311, Pepper or Sublime. Their next two albums, Open Container in 2002 and Gettinçš„ Filthy in 2004, were also released in self-production, then in 2007, they signed a contract with Stoopid Records, a label founded by members of Slightly Stoopid, and recorded their fourth album entitled simply The Expendables. They toured for two years alongside, among others, Nofx, Less Than Jake and Pennywise. In 2009, Californians returned to the studio with Paul Leary (Sublime , Supersucker , Butthole Surfers ) and El Hefe ( Nofx ) and recorded Prove It which was released in May 2010. A tour followed. Recently, Gone Soft , an acoustic album, was released via Right Time Records. The Expendables is currently on a tour across the United States.
