The Fantastikol Hole

Creating music that transcends the strict definition of genres and compiles influences as varied as Napalm Death , Voivod and Autechre , is the guiding idea of Yann H. and Yan A.. The first stone was laid in 2003 with "Hole in the all", other pieces were composed at the arrival of Sylvain D. (guitar) and Patrice J. (acoustic drums) at The Fantastikol Hole. Having already participated in recognized projects ( Ihan , Stille Volk , "O" , Je ), the French produce an experimental grindcore with for credo not to be interested in the technique, only the result. This research results in Mathematikol Oil (2005, Basement Apes Industries ). The band has since chained a few splits (with BSE, with Shallnotkill, Moon and Tekken and finally with Yattaï) before taking a break. The combo is not dead, however, since a split with Brumese is scheduled for late 2009 / early 2010.
