The Haunted
Biography
The Haunted is a Thrashcore band strongly influenced by the Thrash scene of the 1980s (Slayer and Death Angel in the lead), and the Death Swede scene of Gothenburg. The band was formed in Sweden in 1996 on the initiative of guitarist Patrick Jensen (Satanic Slaughter), and on the ashes of At The Gates, of which three members were Anders Björler (guitar), his brother Jonas Björler (bass), and Adrian Erlandsson (drums). The band approached Toxine with Satanic Slaughter and Rogga de Merciless to offer them the place of singer, but it was finally Peter Dolving of Mary Beats Jane who joined the band. The Haunted released an eponymous debut album in 1998. Shortly after the release of this first effort, Peter Dolving and Adrian Elandsson left the band. The first to found Zen-Monkey while the second preferred to focus on the parallel project that he founded in 1997, Hyperhug, then joined Cradle of Filth after Hyperhug's singer had lost his ears and a brief return to The Haunted. He was replaced by Per Møller Jensen (Konkhra , Invocator ). As for the post of singer left vacant, the former frontman of Face Down, Marco Aro, caught him in 2000. Under this new line-up The Haunted released a second album closer to Death Mélodic by At the Gates , The Haunted Made Me Dot It in 2000, then a live recorded in Tokyo the following year. In 2003 Marco Avo left the band after recording the band's third studio album, One Kill Wonder . He was replaced by the original singer of The Haunted, Peter Dolving. The following year the Swedish hit hard with their album reEVOLVEr , more Thrash and less melodic than those made by Marco Avo...
