The Holy Ghost
Biography
The Holy Ghost is one of many bands in New York's underground rock. Formed in 2001, the combo includes Christopher Dean Heine (song), his brother Kent Heine on bass, Angela Webster (battery/chorus), and Alec Ferrell (guitar/chorus). The quartet will then quickly talk about him in the middle, leaving no less than two albums in 2002: first Broken Record in May, then Color Sympathy in November. This strong beginner's repertoire allows them to play concerts across the USA, especially with young indie bands such as The Decemberists, The Black Keys, and The Walkmen. The Holy Ghost will return to the studio the following year to close the EP Well...Get Your Funeral Shoes, before going back on the roads alongside Pedro The Lion, as well as The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Once these marathons are over, New Yorkers think of a third opus, and start recording at AJ Mogis (Bright Eyes producer, The Faint...). This will give Welcome To Ignore Us in 2006, album benefiting from a European release thanks to the Parisian label Fargo.
