The Hope Conspiracy
Biography
Kevin Baker - Vocals Neeraj Kane - Guitar Jonas Feinberg - Bass Jared Shavelson - Drums
The Hope Conspiracy made its debut in 1999 in Boston. The band was originally composed of four members, Kevin Baker (song), Jared Shavelson (drums), Jonas Feinberg (bass) and Aaron Lisi (guitar). Under this training, The Hope Conspiracy entered the studio under the direction of Mark Thompson of Hydrahead Records to record his first demo. Composed of three titles ("Escapist", "Divinity Sickness" and "When The Doves Fly"), this one is drawn at 1000 copies quickly passed during the performances of the Bostonians. In the spring of 2000 Aaron Turner, who was involved in the demo since he made the design, proposed to the group to reissue it in the form of a 7-inch with an additional title, "It Means Nothing". The same year released the first album, Cold Blue, on the label Equal Vision. Over the next two years, The Hope Conspiracy toured, contributed to the Tribute at Black Flag and released an ep called File 03 for Bridge Nine.
The album Endnote comes after a very long period of instability in line up. As a result, The Hope Conspiracy participated in a split with The Suicide File but entered a period of sleep from 2004. Baker took the opportunity to play with Bars while Jared Shavelson, who had been temporarily replaced by Jarrod Alexander during the recording of Endnote, left to play with None More Black.
Despite an appearance at the Fury Fest 2005 , it is thought that the days of The Hope Conspiracy are counted when Baker, Feinberg and Shavelson announce the arrival of two new guitarists, Tim Cossar (ex-Give Up The Ghost ) and Jim Carrol, the latter quickly leaving his place to Neeraj Kane (The Suicide File ). The band then entered the studio for the recording of Death Knows Your Name, which was born in September 2006. We have to wait until 2024 for The Hope Conspiracy to come back with new material.
