Biography

The Hu (Folk Metal, Mongolia) is a group of Hard Rock/Folk Metal from Mongolia; The band uses traditional Mongolian instruments in its music. The group, formed in 2016 in Ulaanbaatar, made a staggering breakthrough in 2018 thanks to licked clips showing Mongolian landscapes (through public funding to promote tourism). After accumulating several hundred million views with 4 tracks (and having been ranked #1 of the American Billboard in the category "Hard Rock Digital Sale") the band released its first album in 2019 named The Gereg (the name of a diplomatic passport under Genghis Khan). The band toured in Europe / North America, was received by President Mongol, placed two titles on the BO of the game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and released some of his titles with guests, notably Jacoby Shadddix (by Papa Roach) on "Wolf Totem". At the end of 2019 the group receives the highest Mongol cultural discinction for their promotion of the country's culture worldwide. In 2022 Rumble of Thunder, their second album, was released, and shortly thereafter was named UNESCO Artists for Peace.
