Biography

To present, The (International) Noise Conspiracy in a few words, perhaps the best would be to use the words of Phil Ochs that T(I)NC had promised to make real: to achieve an artistic project that would be "the symbiosis between Elvis and Che Guevara". At the origin of this will, one finds an emblematic figure of the punk scene of the 1990s: Dennis Lyxzen, both founder and "fossoyer" of Refused , Swedish combo, managed in the space of five years to revolutionize the genre. T(I)NC will therefore form itself on Lyxzen's desire to continue its path between rock and political commitment. Will join him, Lars Strömberg (singer and guitarist of the trio punk rock Separation), Sara Almgren and Ludwig Dahlberg respectively singer and drummer of Saidiwas, and finally, Inge Johanson, member of the artistic-musical project The Female Anchor of Sade.
After several months of rehearsals and local concerts, the quintet returned to the studio in December 1998, from which 12 songs will be released. 12 singles that will flow so well that T(I)NC will record in the footsteps of The First Conspiracy on Ling Lao records (1999). The band then presented itself as the heirs of the "dirty rock" of the 1960s, a decade perceived as the cradle of punk rock, a vector of radical politics. In 1999, he toured Scandinavia for the first time, offering them a reputation for "furious and wild stage explosion" and then an illegal tour of China, which saw the Swedish five close to arrest. This year 99 will also celebrate their first passages in Europe and will end on a new start in the studio. April 2000 will see the release of the second album, Survival Sickness , recorded by Burning Heart with Jari Haapalainen (The Concretes , Ed Harcourt ) at the controllers. The band then toured all over Europe with The Hives, At The Drive in , Danko Jones and was broadcast on MTV. But the group still wants to write, still want to create.
Summer 2001 will enhance these wishes. Same place, same studio as for Survival Sickness. The group continues in line and asserts more than ever as a committed group. Alternative rock as a driving thread, capitalism as an object of struggle, T(I)NC feeds a protestary and revolted message. The goal is not to self-proclaimed political leader but to get the multitude to ask questions and resist. The name of this album A New Morning Changing Weather (October 2001) will bear the mark of this commitment since it is inspired by a title by Bob Dylan, who celebrates the passion for resistance. Some tracks on the album will become hits ("Born into a mess", "Capitalism stole my Virginia") and will give the Swedish five a great success. T(I)NC will then alternate EP release, concerts and political messages, until June 2004 which will see the release of the fourth album, Armed Love , amputated by Sara, part of the band meanwhile.
