Formed: 1960
Styles: Post-Punk

Biography

Bobby Bray (guitar, singing) Joseph Karam (Clavier, singing) Justin Pearson (Basse, singing) Gabe Serbian (Battery)
Originally from San Diego, The Locust is often highlighted as the new disturbing and hovering face of hardcore punk. At the beginning (1995), The Locust played their fierce opposition to any form of mercantilism. Today the combo seems to have come to this idea but remains without musical compromise. Formed by former Swing Kids and Struggle, The Locust is like Arab On Radar, one of the pioneers of a violent and intense genre without any stylistic limits. Between noise, hardcore, new wave and even sludge on New Erections , their 3rd and last album released in 2007 on Radio Surgery and Anti , The Locust seems to have an overwhelming imagination allowing them to renew themselves at each stage. In their grasshopper costumes, the gas producers always make their concerts the seat of an overflowing fury witness to the sincerity of one of the most original bands of rock in the broad sense.
