The Machine

The Machine is a psychedelic stoner/rock band from the Netherlands, existing since 2007 and with four studio albums. Influenced by the entire psyched wave of the 60s / 70s, and the most recent one, led by bands like Colour Haze, Sleep or Kyuss, The Machine offers something oscillating between smoky rock and groovy sounder. They released their first Shadow of The Machine album in 2007, which will be acclaimed by critics and fans. At the time much more classical in their stoner, The Machine gradually turned towards something much more atmospheric, while borrowing from Kyuss or other more dynamic bands the power and heavyness of the riffs, first with Solar Corona then Drie, albums of jams sessions where, like their live, they improvised a lot. The Machine released in 2012 Calmer Than You Are , on the label Elektrohasch, a sort of synthesis between their debut and the jams sessions of previous albums.
