Biography

It was in 1985 that Hiroshi Kyono (chant) and Minoru Kojima (Guitare) formed Berrie , a punk band, with bassist Takeshi Ueda and a drummer known as Seto. After a series of concerts, the quartet recorded a Poison Revolution demo that allowed them to experience a success on the Japanese underground scene, up to the opening for the Red Hot Chile Peppers in 1990. The combo changes drummer, welcoming Motokatsu Miyagami and changing name the same year for The Mad Capsule Market's. The Mad Capsule Market's released its first single in August 1990, Government Wall, a re-record of a Berrie title, and released its first Humanity opus in October. Minoru Kojima left his position as guitarist and was replaced by Ai Ishigaki, roadie of the band. For P.O.P., his second opus, the combo signed with Victor Entertainment and began to turn to a more experimental sound, incorporating samples into his punk the following year. The result is the EP Capsule Soup and the Speak album!!! . In 1993 and 1994, Mix-ism and Park were released, one turning towards ska-punk and the other towards a more melodic style. 1996 saw the arrival of The Mad Capsule Market's in the USA, for the release of Park and the recording of 4 Plugs , which incorporates a song more rapped to English texts, even though these elements are still only a minority. A best-of comes out, with some re-recorded songs for the occasion, while Ai Ishigaki is replaced by TORUxxx. Digidogheadlock , the 8th opus of the Japanese, turns to more industrial sounds, confirmed to a lesser extent by Osc-Dis which debunks in 1999. A title, Pulse, is even found on a Tony Hawk's video game. 2 years later, it's 010, a sort of musical condensation of the territories covered by The Mad Capsule Markets, which comes out and offers the luxury of being followed by live 020120. The latest album will be Cistm Konfliqt, more in connection with the Digital Hardcore, which allows them to sign at Sony and release 2 compilations (1990-1996 and 1997-2004). In April 2005, musicians announced that they would pause to devote themselves to their other projects via their official website.
