Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein: Guitar Trained in 1977 in Lodi, USA by Glenn Danzig, the Misfits recorded their first single Cough/Cool around Danzig (song/keyboard), Jerry Only (bass) and Manny Martinez (battery). In 1978, they were joined by drummer Mr. Jim and guitarist Franché Coma, the band released the maxi Bullet with a drawing representing John Fitzgerald Kennedy being murdered. The line-ups were followed by guitarist Bobby Steele and drummer Joey Image (Horror Business, Night of The Living Dead - 1979) and Arthur Googy (battery). In 1981 the Misfits signed the maxi Three Hits from Hell and the single "Halloween". Walk Among Us (with Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein on guitar) was born in 1982. The same year was recorded the maxi Evilive and in 1983 the album Earth A.D. / Wolfsblood was released. On October 29, 1983, the band performed a Halloween concert at the Greystone Hall in Detroit, and Danzig informed the audience that it would be the last Misfit concert.
Eleven years later, Jerry Only and his younger brother Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein reformed the Misfits with Michale Graves singing and Dr. Chud on drums. American Psycho appeared in 1997 followed by Famous Monsters in 1999. That same year, the band was seen in Romero's last film (Zombie, The Night of the Living Dead): Bruiser . Last chapter for this line-up...
In 2002, a tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of the band brought together Marky Ramone ( Ramones ) on drums, Dez Cadena ( Black Flag) on guitar and Jerry Only. Together, they record a 50's cover album as the Misfits: Project 1950. They will defend him on stage intermittently until 2005, when Ramone will leave the project, replaced by Robo (who joined the group from 1982 to 1983). A complicated arrival since from the first few months his visa is a problem at the gates of Europe, which obliges the group to postpone its tour.
After a few years of rest, Jerry Only decides to go back on the road. In October 2009, the single "Land of the Dead" was released. Robo left the band and was replaced by Eric "Chupacabra" Arce ( Murphy's Law). The recording time came: The Devil's Rain was released on October 4, 2011. For the first time in 33 years, the Misfits reform in their original version around Danzig, Jerry Only and Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstion at the Riot Fest in Denver (4 September 2016) and Chicago (18 September 2016). They will be accompanied by Dave Lombardo on drums (Slayer , Suicidal Tendencies ) and Acey Slade on second guitar. On the poster is written "They said it would never happened..". In August 2017, the group announced a new reformation around Danzig/Only/Doyle, which will take place on December 30, 2017 in Los Angeles.
