Biography

Like there can be very good things in Texas. The Paper Chase is indeed a texan band created around John Ctabrion. The young man is at the base a sound engineer who usually produces various bands like 90 Day Men, and has already crossed the road of The Roots during his work. So he's not a novice... To express all the many ideas emerging from his tortuous mind, he surrounds Weaver on bass, Dalton on drums, Kirkpatrick on piano as well as Kris Youmans to give them a hand to the cello, and mounts The Paper Chase , indie combo rock noisy well barred. After two confidential Eps ("Essays" and "And the Machines are winning") the band released in 2001 their first album "Young Bodies Heal Quickly, You Know" on the small American independent label Beatville records. Following an American tour brought them their small but faithful lot of connoisseurs. After a new Ep "Cntrl-Alt-Delete-U" on Divot Records, they draw the attention of the Southern Records label that partners with Beatville to release the second album "Hide The Kitchen Knives" to Europe. They will come there twice, the last very recently, on the occasion of the release of their last effort " God Bless your Black Heart " .
