The Real Mc Kenzies is a band called "modern Celtic punk." In other words, we do something new with old people. Since 1994, Paul McKenzie and his acolytes have taken over the legacy left by the Sex Pistols, especially in terms of alcohol and drugs, adding Scottish sauce, the country from which they originated. Be careful! Not to be confused with the Dropkick Murphys, Paul would see this with a bad eye: "Many Scots have migrated to Canada. And as we chose the north, the Irish chose the south, as always!". Although musically the groups are particularly close, their roots are different. The kilts, the scotch... it's them! And after four albums, this is Canada's most European band finally rewarded with a signature on Fat Wreck after passing by the (ex) little brothers of Honest Dons. And to top it all off, Sean Sellers (Good Riddance) took place behind the drums and Fat Mike himself took the bass, but only for the recording of 10,000 Shouts (Little Joe from RK L has joined the band since), the last album released on August 23, 2005.
