The Suicide Machines
Biography
Jason Navarro - singing Ryan Vandeberghe - baterie Dan Lukacinsky - guitar, singing Rich Tschirhart - bass
The Suicide Machines formed in 1991 at the instigation of Jason Navarro and Dan Lukacinsky. The original line up also included Jason Brake (bass) and Stefan Raiigh (battery), with whom the first dates were made in the Detroit suburbs. The year 1993 is a rather dense year since the band recorded its first demo with Derek Grant on drums and a 7-inch Van's Song on the Youth Rendition Records label. The result was a series of dates on American territory with the new bassist Dave Smith, whose association was long-lived, replaced at the end of the year by Royce Nunley. In 1995, the Suicide Machines recorded a split with The Basics on the Dill Records/Beach Recordings label and, during the summer, embarked on their first real US Tour. The band finally released its first album Destruction by Definition in 1996 on Hollywood Records. The Suicide Machines signed four albums on this label before entering Side One Dummy's catalog with A Match and Some Gasoline in 2003.
