Biography

The Veil is an Anglo-Nantais quartet of "Dark Wave / Goth Metal", formed in 2004, having already released two EPs, in 2006 with Sleeping among Serpents and in 2007 with Reveilations. After the release of a maxi Vestige in 2008, several years of concerts and a growing popularity on stage, The Veil entered the studio at the end of 2012 to record his first album An Electrical Sun at Drudenhaus Studio by Benoit Roux ( Alcest, Anorexia Nervosa, The CNK, Soor Dolorosa) which will appear on the label Finistrian Dead End. Melodic and hovering, the style of the group oscillates between almost symphonic metal by its aspirations and dark wave / electro with heavy atmospheres, heavy with meaning. With the inspirations of authors such as Jules Verne, K Dick, Orwell or Barjavel and an almost systematic use of old instruments and analogue machines, the sound and the themes addressed are in a way the brand of the group, which is intended to be original and foreguard, mixing all kinds of styles (electro, cold wave, jazz, classical, metal) in a retro futuristic universe with the most fun musical anachronisms. Current Line up: Jensara Swann - Vocals, keyboards, lyrics Ben Notox - keyboards, Music Composer Chris Besson - Live guitars Thomas Njodr - Live Drums
