Biography

The Vintage Caravan is a retro rock band founded in 2006 in Iceland by singer / guitarist Óskar Logi Ágústsson and drummer Guðjón Reynisson, then 12 years old. It does not take long for the first projects to materialize, since a first self-produced and eponymous album was released in 2009. In 2012, the young band joined the Icelandic label Sena, and now completed by bassist Alexander Örn Númason, recorded his second album, Voyage . The same year, the group participated in the Eistnaflug festival, where members were allowed to travel only with their parents. Their performance makes them talk about, and soon a new contract is signed, this time with the German label Nuclear Blast Records, which reissues Voyage on a larger scale. Touring in Europe and appearances at the 2014 Roadburn Festival and Wacken Open Air, among others, followed. In 2015, drummer Guðjón Reynisson left The Vintage Caravan for personal reasons; It was replaced by Stefán Ari Stefánsson, shortly before the recording of Arrival . This redesigned line-up continues to run and perform at various festivals. The fourth album, entitled Gateways , was released at the end of August 2018.
