The Vision Bleak
Biography
The Vision Bleak is a German band from Mellrichstadt, Bavaria. It is composed of two members: Ulf Theodor Schwadorf of Empyrium, and Allen B. Konstanz of Nox Mortis, who use session musicians during the concerts. They qualify their style as Horror Metal. They can also be classified in the category close to Gothic Metal. After a first demo in 2002, followed by an eponymous single, the duo released its first album, The Deathship Has A New Captain , in February 2004. With this opus, they lay the foundations of a dark universe, with melodies that borrow both Death, Doom and Dark. In 2005, Carpathia - A Dramatic Poem , Schwadorf and Konstanz published their second production, a concept album, narrating the adventures of a businessman who, following a legacy, went to the Carpathians, where he would gradually be possessed by an evil force. The third album, The Wolves Go Hunt Their Prey , was released in 2007. The guttural song is a little more present, the guitars are more aggressive. In 2009 the band left for the Klangschmiede Studio E to record the first part of their fourth album. Sail to Mystery , released in 2010 and is published in a classic version and a limited edition that includes a second disc with new songs or alternative versions. The fifth opus of The Vision Bleak is Witching Hour, released in September 2013. A video of the title The Wood Hag, directed and animated by Fursy Teyssier, is published on the YouTube channel of the Prophecy label. Their last production, The Unknown , was released in 2016.
