The Wounded Kings
Biography
The Wounded Kings founded in Exeter, England in 2004 around the duo George Birch (Basse / Guitar / Chant) and Steve Mills (Guitare / Batterie / Piano / Bass) who released in 2018 the album Embrace Of The Narrow House via Eichenwald Industries, followed by an eponymous album in 2010 by Candlelight Records, which began to grow their reputation. The duo then takes part in a Doom Metal with traditional influences and nourished by horrific atmospheres. For the split with Cough in 2010, the duo delegates bass and battery to Luke Taylor and Nick Collings respectively. For the album In The Chapel Of The Black Hand which appeared in 2011 at I Hate Records, George Birch is no longer in the game and Steve Mills is recruiting a new line up: Jim Willumsen (Basse), Mike Heath (Battery), Alex Kearney (Guitare) and Sharie Neyland (Chant). Al Eliadis replaced Jim in 2012 at the bass and strong of this new line-up, The Wounded Kings probably released the most popular album of his career with Consolamentum which appeared in 2014 at Candlelight Records in 2014. George and Steve met again in 2014, but singer Sharie and bassist Al left the band, forcing The Wounded Kings to end up as a quartet. Visions In Bone appeared on August 26, 2016, 14 days after the group announced its split and thus closed the chapter of a talented but chaotic formation in its longevity.
