The Zenith Passage

The Zenith Passage is mainly the project of a man, Justin McKinney (Basse / Guitar / Sing - ex The Faceless ) that he founded in January 2012 in Los Angeles with the aim of playing a technical and progressive Death Metal. He then joined the services of drummer Josh Slater and Greg Hampton (Chant) to record a first ep, Cosmic Dissonance , which appeared in 2013 at Total Deathcore. Josh was replaced in the course of 2013 by Luis Martinez (Battery) and Michael Hoskins was only one year in the position of bassist. Rob Maramonte (ex Fallujah , ex All Shall Perish , Thy Art Is Murder ) was recruited as second guitarist in 2013 with whom they recorded a first album, Solipsist in April 2016 at Unique Leader Records and which was very well received on its release. Unfortunately, The Zenith Passage still faces its line-up problems. Luis left the band after the record and was replaced by Matthew Paulazzo (Battery). Greg and Rob left in 2021 and 2022, replaced respectively by Derek Rydquist (Chant) and Christopher Beattie (Guitare) and the arrival in 2021 of bassist Brandon Giffin. The new quartet signs at Metal Blade Records and releases a very impressive second album entitled Datalysium .
