Biography

It was in 2002 that David McCabe (singer), Boyan Chowdhury (guitarist), Sean Payne (beater) and Russell Pritchard (bassist), formed The Zutons , a band straight from Liverpool. That year, they released their first two singles Devil's Deal and Creepin' year' a Crawlin, testimony of the obvious search for their sound. They then joined Abi Harding, a saxophonist, to complete the band and thus open up a wider horizon for their future album, which McCabe wanted as a representation of their various influences. Victims of their success in their hometown, and especially in the shadow of The Coral, the band decided to withdraw to think, and manage to define their own sound, "a cross of jazz and funk, soul and country. " The first result of this confinement was the single Pressure Point , released in January 2004, followed by You Will You Won, in April, and finally their first opus the same month: Who Killed The Zutons ? . The Zutons are currently on tour, collecting the first parts ( Muse, The Killers, The Coral, Keane, or REM).
