After having released two EP's gone unnoticed, the band appears on a split-cd entitled A House Divided , edited by the label Break Even Records . Summer 2001: the shock. During their first tour, the members found themselves involved in a serious car accident. What could have put an end to the quartet's career only strengthened them and inspired them. After their recovery, .thedecember drive immediately resumed writing, and composing. Chaotic: the term seems wise to describe what the group delivers; an intriguing mixture of post-rock, emo-noise/hardcore. A quite unique sound, marked by this unfortunate event, which allows the band to release at the end of 2002, Hands Like Guns and Crashing Sounds, their first album, on the independent American Jealousy label. The four members, originally from Brownsville, Texas, are working on an EP that is expected to be released soon, but also on the successor to their first "musical record".
