Biography
Thee Oh Sees (a.k.a. The Ohsees , alias The Oh Sees , alias OCS ), is first and foremost the umpteenth project of a man, John Dwyer , on the indie scene of San Francisco since the late 1990s. From Death Metal to Punk, through Noise, Dwyer multiplied the bands (Coachwips, Pink And Brown, The Drums, Sword & Sandals ...) before making Thee Oh Sees his current game group, first solo and then joined by 3 other musicians.
Active (7 albums and EP in 4 years - and the account must not be exhaustive!) and flirting, the band sounds as if The Mamas And The Papas had started doing Garage. There is the same psychedelic pop sensitivity associated with a lo-fi sound drowned in reverberation.
