Threat Signal
Biography
Threat Signal is a modern metalcore band formed in 2003 in Hamilton, Canada by Jon Howard (Chant) and his cousin Rich Howard (Guitare) and Kyle McKnight (Guitare). After writing several songs, Adam Matthews arrived at the drummer and Eric Papky at the bass. The Rational Eyes track is posted on the internet and receives an excellent welcome which allows the band to be noticed by the labels and to make concerts to continue to make known. In 2005, Marco Bressette replaced Eric Papky and Threat Signal in Los Angeles to record with Christian Olde Wolbers from Fear Factory and to sign at Nuclear Blast Records. George Parfitt replaced Adam behind the drums in 2006 and then Under Reprisal came out of the year with great success. In June 2006, Canadians played with Scar Symmetry, Arch Enemy and Communic. Rich Howard left the band shortly afterwards and Marco took up the position of guitarist. Pat Kavanagh was then recruited as a bassist. New on the roads, the band performed alongside Silkwork, Mnemic and Darkest Hour, and then continued its own tour in early 2007. New pieces are beginning to be composed, but Marco, Kyle and George are leaving the ship. Travis Montgomery (Guitare), Adam Weber (Guitare) and Norman Killeen (Batterie). Under a new line-up, Threat Signal is working on Vigilance, produced by the singer and only original member, Jon Howard, who was released in 2009. In 2010, there were two changes in the band: Adam Weber was replaced by Kriss Norris and Chris Feener. The drummer position is also taken over by Alex RĂ¼dinger. Threat Signal released a third eponymous album in 2011, still at Nuclear Blast Records.
