Biography

Thurston Moore was born on July 25, 1958 in Florida. It was in the early 1980s that he began to make talk about him in the New York scene, then throughout the world: he was the guitarist of the mythical Sonic Youth. Since 1984 he has been married to Kim Gordon, bassist and singer of the band. Artistically speaking, beyond Sonic Youth, Thurston Moore appears in dozens of projects, often as a collaborator, one thinks of Lydia Lunch or Mike Watt ( Minutemen). He is often praised for the torture of guitars and other noise attacks he has secretly committed. His solo career (under his own name at least) is a two studio album. The first, Psychoic Hearts , was released in 1995 on the famous Geffen label. In 2008, almost 13 years later, Trees Outside the Academy pointed its nose to Ecstatic Peace, distributed in France by Differ-Ant.
