
Tim Hecker
Biography
Tim Hecker was born in 1974 in Vancouver, Canada. Officiating to the confines of the Ambient and the Electronica, however, he stirs up many genres in his creations, also looking for modern classical music or Drone. He has collaborated and/or shot with artists such as Godspeed You! Black Emperor , Isis , Aidan Baker ( Nadja ), Ben Frost , Sigur Ros or Daniel Lopatin ( Oneohtrix Point Never ). Since 1996, he has worked under his own name or under the pseudonym Jetone. Each new release has become an event since its first album Haunt Me, Haunt Me, Do it Again in 2001. Albums such as Radio Amor in 2003 or Harmony in Ultraviolet in 2006 have had a significant critical success. After releasing in 2011 Ravendeath, 1972, a very dark album focused on the use of drones, Tim Hecker returned in 2013 with Virgins.
