Time To Burn
Biography
The skeleton of Time to Burn takes shape in Clermont-Ferrand where Julien (battery) and Eddy (guitar-chant) share the same formation (Wxx). A first initiative ending with Julien's departure for Paris. For these same professional reasons, the two are forced to meet again in Paris and then to outline the idea of a new joint project. Joined by one of their friends, Seb, the training now includes a new guitarist and the line-up tends to end. It will soon be completed with the arrival of a bass player, Chris. Articulating his songs around melodies removed and fed by hardcore energy, they cite as references groups such as Botch, Denied, Shovel, Cult of Luna, Neurosis, or Breach. Time to burn explores its multiple asperities in punk, hardcore or rock'n'roll disgressions and claims to be definitely close to post-hardcore. In 2007, Time To Burn released Is.Land on Basement Apes , a dark album that lets them get rid of their influences.
