Biography

Tómarúm , which means emptiness in Iceland, was originally a duo founded by Kyle Walburn (Guitare / Chant) and Brandon Iacovella (Guitare / Chant / Contrabass) in Atlanta, USA in 2017. The duo then surrounded James Peterson (Basse) by Scott Belcher (Battery) and Matt Warner (Guitare) for the composition of a demo and the ep Wounds Ever Expanding which appeared in 2019 and 2020 respectively. But these three musicians did not remain in the band and the duo found themselves recruiting new members in 2021: Michael Sanders (Basse), Chris Stropoli (Battery) and Matthew Longerbeam (Guitare). This is how Tómarúm arrived in 2022 with a promising album, Ash In Realms Of Stone Icons . This one comes out at Prosthetic Records and shows a great potential to mix Death Metal technique, Black Metal melodic and progressive turns. An ambitious album that is beginning to make a good talk about the now quintet in extreme metal scenes.
