Biography
In winter 2007, Mike Hill ( Anodyne, Versoma), Justin Ennis (The Heuristic) and Dominic Seita (Speedloader) formed Tombs and recorded a first EP that was released at Level Plane Records (Aimé Détat, Envy ...) followed by a split with the Germans of Planks. 2009 marks the band's signature at Relapse Records for the release of Winter Hours, their first album. Some time after Ennis and Seita left the formation, leaving Mike Hill the only founding member to continue the adventure. It requires Path Of Totality in 2011 and Savage Gold in 2014 mark the gradual abandonment of the Post-Punk influences from the beginnings to a shift towards much darker sounds, borrowing both Black Metal and Post-Metal. Meanwhile, the waltz of musicians surrounding Mike Hill continues, three guitarists, two bassists and two drummers who have been part of the band since 2012. The arrival in 2015 of Fade Kainer on keyboards marks its Gothic imprint All Empires Fall , the latest EP in the formation and recorded with Sanford Parker ( Minsk , Twilight , Yob ).
