Torture Killer
Biography
Named after a song by Six Feet Under, Torture Killer was originally a Finnish Death Metal cover band founded in the early 2000s. The first original compositions will define the album For Maggots To Devour in 2003, but the adventure will only really grow when Chris Barnes (Six Feet Under , ex-Cannibal Corpse ), intrigued by the name of the band, becomes aware of his potential as well as his unstable line-up (the formation is then looking for a singer). Barnes then proposed to take care of the microphone himself, which led to a signature at Metal Blade and the Swarm! album in 2006. However, the collaboration did not continue, as Barnes did not find enough time for Torture Killer in addition to his other projects. The adventure continues on the Dynamic Art Records label, this time with a Finnish frontman. Sewers appeared in 2009, followed by a new change of voice and EP I What Death in 2012. 2013 proves that the links with Chris Barnes are not cut since he appears on a Phobia title while guitarist Jari Laine participates in the composition of Six Feet Under released the same year, Unborn. Since then, Torture Killer is no longer very active but has announced working on new titles.
